I am wanting to get a drum sander for around $1,000 or so. I looked at the Grizzly 18” open end but the review are mediocre at best. Any suggestion on a decent open end drum sander?

I’ve used my friend’s Performax 16-32 and it’s a DREAM!! I’d like to see how well their 22-44 sander works…
I like it’s design because the bed remains the same height, making it easy to setup roller stands on the infeed/outfeed or build a nice extension table. I’ve watched some guys use a Delta 18-36, which has the bed raising up and down, making it impossible to have any permanently adjusted extension tables or roller stands. I’ve never looked at the Grizzly, so I don’t know any pros or cons. I don’t even know if the Performax name is on the new sanders…I think they slapped the Jet brand on them recently…
