Hello. I am new to the forum and attempting to learn to use some hand tools correctly, Right now hand planes and chisels. I have been doing minor wood work for a few years, but always used power tools. I want to build some British Campaign style furniture for my rendezvous “camp” and would prefer to do it with some hand tools.
I have subscribed to this website and the Fine Woodworking one to read as much as I can on the subject. A copy of “The hand plane book” is also in route, but I learn better by seeing and talking.
I live in Vernal, Utah and spend some weekends in SLC with my girlfriend. I am hoping to find someone in the area who would be willing to try and educate an old sailor in exchange for a burger and beer?

No burger and beer takers? I thought this was a friendly site.
