I have been looking for a nail punch like me friend has. It is a spring loaded punch but not like I have found and I was hoping someone could help me find one.

It is a standard punch with a spring action but it not the type that you push the head down and it clicks but this one allows you to put the head on the nail and you pull the top end back about an inch or less and release it. this action forces the head forward and pushes the nail deeper in to the wood. It is used mostly on trim and in corners. No hammer needed, just the punch and your fingers.

If anyone has any input please let me know.

Ace hardware stores carry them too.

Look for spring loaded center punches.
