I was installing a ZCI on my R4511 TS today and so lowered the blade completely, put the ZCI in and then clamped a board across the ZCI and raised the blade through it to full height.

Lowered the blade completely and took off the ZCI to install the splitter. When I tried to raise the blade again it would not raise more than an inch and the gear teeth slip.

I took off the blade and motor pulley to see what was going on. The teeth on the height gear are not meshing well with the worm gear for raising and lowering the blade.

I’m guessing there must be some adjustment that will take the slop out and make the gears mesh tighter than they are now.

Anyone with this saw ever have this issue??

I’m gonna hate it if I have to take the rails and top off to fix this!!
