I just bought a 9” craftsman benchtop bandsaw and I would love a simple project to getting me started using this popular tool…

Any ideas !!!!

Thanks

You could try making a wooden mug Ed. When I got my saw I made this mug and a few band saw boxes.

The first thing i would do is learn to set the saw up properly. There is a good youtube video of how to do it. His last name is Snodgrass, his first name is escaping my mind right now. I wish i had know how to set mine up correctly from the get go.It took me a couple years before i knew it was not working as well as it could. The difference in operation when set up correctly is amazing.

BTW, congrats on your new toy. Be careful and have fun. A bandsaw opens a whole new world of possibilities.

That’s it. Thank you. I have watched that video a dozen times, i don’t know why his name was so tough to remember.

It been a while since I watched it I think it’s time for me watch to it again also. Nothing runs better than a well tuned saw!
