I’m building one of those jewelery cabinets that stand about 3 feet high, has drawers in the middle, and then two sides that swing out for necklaces, etc. The plans call for using piano hinges. I bought the hinges, but the more I think about them, it seems they are very large and will detract from the overall look. They will be on the back of the chest, so maybe I’m fabricating the problem. Has anyone built a similar unit using the piano hinges…if so, what do you think about their use? Thanks.

I`v built three, one with piano hing and two with hideaway hings I prefer the hide away hinges. they are less time consuming and easier to work with. You can see them in project pages
