Found a pile of free wood in Half Moon Bay, CA that I threw in my car (photos). I am completely new to this but was interested in turning the larger one into a coffee table and potentially side tables / cheese boards out of the smaller ones. I have a few questions, however:

1. Can anyone identify what the types of wood are?
2. Some of the larger logs have blue/green/white mold on them. I assume this is a bad thing. Is there anything to remedy this or are these unsalvageable?
3. Since there is mold on some, I assume this means there are still very green. Is there a simple/cheap way to test their moisture content to determine how long I will need to let them dry for?

Thanks for any help y’all can provide. I may just get rid of them since I don’t know what I’m doing but any insight will be helpful!

Firewood . Looks like pine or some conifur species.

the pieces sawed in half look like a poplar to me but i’m not familliar with the wood there in CA. the large piece looks like you could make into a decent table, I don’t see any major cracks either.
