Topic tags/keywords: plane infill plane plane for sale

I finally got a new iron for the plane shown here:

Click for details

I will be selling this for a little less than I would normally ask because there are one or two minor aesthetic “oopsies” that happened. They in no way affect the function. The first oopsie is that one of the countersunk screws holding on one of the sides is a little deeper than the others. This was because my countersink decided to die an it messed up the hole, so I had to go a little deeper to get it perfectly round.

The other oopsie is on the end of the heel, my fly cutter took too deep of a bite due to my gibs not being completely locked down, so I had to put a little bevel on the end to get rid of the marks.

The iron is also a little dirty from being heat treated, but it doesn’t affect function. This is a great little plane, I am selling because I already have one just like it. I made this because I had the materials kicking around and wanted the project :)

- 6” sole length
- 1 1/2” wide by 1/4” thick O1 iron pitched at about 55 degrees
- O1 steel sole and sides
- Bocote infill
- Brass, bronze, and bocote lever cap screw
- Oil and wax finish on wood, wax on metal to prevent rust
- Weighs between 2.5 and 3 lbs

I’m asking $200 shipped, but feel free to make an offer. Pics!
