Please just tell me to what forum you plan to move this discussion. I want to continue reading everyone’s opinion, if only people can refrain from personal attacks.

Sounds like you have been in the wrong forums. I am very selective which ones I go to. I don’t have time to deal with the ultra-negitive people. There’s still a lot of good people here to talk to.

LJs could use a cesspool forum where people could take the gloves completely off and rant away.

That’s a good idea,we will call it NHB forum(no holds barred), I agree with Monte, being selective on which forums to go to has also helped me keep my sanity.

The problem lies with the word “everyone” in schools as kids,at work,in many social situations there’s always the 1%ers that love to question everyone and everything, and love it when they can get people upset. So whatever forums you go to, the same people with different names are there stirring are things up. These folks aways show up just about the time folks something like I’m saying. If you get upset, they win,if your feelings get hurt, they win,If you leave they win. What to do? just laugh them off or ignore them it drives them nuts,of course they just keep coming, trying to get you to respond .treat them with all the attention they deserve (NONE) ,most of the time they don’t have any projects and I’m guessing if they know anything about woodworking it’s from what they have read not what they have done,an they hardly ever have any information about themselves on their home page, because if they did they would expose what fakes they really are.
Now lets set back and wait for the first one to come are way,I’m guessing it won’t be long or perhaps there has been one show up while I was typing this.

Sounds like you have been in the wrong forums.

I agree this site is not the place for these discussions. I’m just asking (from the people who participated in the closed thread) what site does encourage such discussions on such important issues.

I’m looking for a discussion site where the participants lean more toward intelligent information sharing and opinions and less about sniping and personal attacks. I believe someone here knows of one.

I don’t post on any other sites and only posted on that thread to counter the rampant BS.

If you find a good site let us know.

+1 to Stef; Cesspool forum would be appropriate.

and

+1 to Jim for ignoring the 1%ers.

Eh..depression can strike anyone I suppose. It’s hit me plenty of times, but a woodworking forum isn’t where I would really post those feelings unless you do want I just did and spend several hours fitting a tenon into the wrong mortise and realize it ain’t gonna fit the other mortises.. Now that’s depressing.
