There is a woodworking show at the fair grounds this weekend. Has anybody been to this show in past years?

Darn, I would be going to this, but i found out way too late. Oh well there is always next year. I should keep my eyes more open to these things.

I’ve been travelling with the show for some of their different show dates over the last few months. Unfortunately, I will not be in Tampa. Maybe next year?

If you’re going, make sure to stop by and tell Jim Heavey I said hello. It’ll boggle his mind.

Jim’s a great guy with a really upbeat personality. If you go to the show, his classes are worth the price of admission alone. His brother Mike also teaches classes at the show. Between the two, you will get a tremendous education and there’s no additional cost for the classes. I highly recommend checking them out.

This year will be my third time at the show. The first year was the best for me. There were more tools and more going on that year. Then, too, I was a couple of years younger. A friend of mine goes all three days every year and enjoys it – but he’s younger and can walk further. Even though there’s less to see, I still find it a worthwhile way to spend a day – but not three. Some of the ‘educational’ presentations are excellent, and you’ll find some pretty good buys.

I’m in the same boat as Dave. This will be my 3rd year also. I really enjoyed the first time. The second time was OK, nothing special. This year my expectations aren’t quite so high. I hope to take in a few of the free classes/presentations and mull around for a few hours. All in all, I’m looking forward to it. For $10 or less you can’t beat a whole days entertainment.
