Hey All,

I’ve searched for reviews/opinions on this machine here and elsewhere and have found next to nothing. Would love to hear any opinions or experiences with this unit if anybody has any.

No experience, but I do have an opinion. That’s very much like several others (including my Delta 15”) and it’s not out of the question that they rolled out of the same Chiwanese factory. That said, Woodtek is Woodworker’s Supply label placed on them, and they (WWS) are a top notch outfit with great customer service. I’ve been in their Casper WY. store and looked at the tools they offer and would rate them even with most of the Grizzly stuff I’ve seen. Did you find a used one, or what specifically brings on the question? (Maybe someone who owns one will chime in, but that brand doesn’t have the broad user base that many of the others have).

Hey Fred,

Well, I’ve eyeballed these on Amazon a few times and at $1,500 (shipped) I figured it had to be a somewhat formidable machine. Not one review on the Amazon site, however.

There is one that popped up on Craigslist in my area and the seller is asking $750. Still more than my budget may allow but I figured if there was real value there it’d be worth not eating for a few weeks if I could scrape together the funds.

I’ve had this unit for 7-8 years and run a lot of wood through it. It’s still going strong. I bought new for $600 shipped with lift gate service. IMO, unless it has a helical head, $750 is too high.

Wow, Bob! You paid $600 new? That’s less than a DW 735X! I don’t get it. How the heck are they selling for over $1,500 bucks now?

That’s why I can never seem to pull the trigger on any of these machines. Keep thinking there’s a way to get more value out of my dollar and get spooked when I hear a story like yours.

Pretty sure the one offered on CL has the straight cutters otherwise it would have specified in the listing.

Also came with in and out feed rollers. It was a great deal. I don’t remember the details but I remember calling and asking if it was China or Taiwan. They told me Taiwan and it was, in fact, China. It may be that they were closing out stock from one manufacturer and going to a new one.
