I did a search and found a 3 yr. old topic on this. Was wondering if any new products came up since. I have worked with epoxy as far as coatings for kayaks and filling knots. Now I want something to coat a table top. My concern is clearness. I would not be happy with a cloudy top. What is the best?

I’ve been using concrete a little recently and tried “Epoxy Table Top Resin” by Fiberglass Coatings on Amazon with success. It came out crystal clear, leveled well (with a heat gun), and was easy to work with. Haven’t tried it on wood yet. The overall rating is good, the lower ratings seem to come from people with little experience working with epoxy. I haven’t spent enough time with it to be able to say how well it holds up under UV exposure though.

Thx for the tip.

Any epoxy I have used West, Maas, has no UV protection. Several coats of spar varnish over the epoxy provided UV protection on my kayaks.
