Topic tags/keywords: question resource tip tablesaw router bandsaw

Any users out there with any pros or cons on this item ? Thank you in advance : )

http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=21444

Rockler has it online for $60 and instore for $50…..
4 hour roundtrip for me to get to the closest Rockler store : ( Probably not worth the $10 difference…LOL

Len,
I have 2 Incras… the 1000 and the V120. I use the V120 on my router table and love it. I paid a good deal more than $60 for it but it is well worth the $$. I use the 1000 on my table saw. The v120 is easier to handle and it is dead on for measurement.
If Rockler has it for $50, there must be others… free ship and no tax is worth it!

I have the 1000SE for my table saw and the V27 for my band saw because it was the only miter gauge small enough to work on my band saw without running into the blade. If the V120 was available at the time, I probably would’ve opted for that. But both of mine were dead accurate right out of the box. I use them all the time and are real happy with them.

Hi ellen , did you forget that we live here in TAXachusetts ? LOL , Seeing as Rockler has a store here in MA , we have to pay the state sales tax : ( , but the free shipping is a good thing : ) Thanks for the feedback on both of your miters : )
Hi araldite , thank you for your feedback on your Incras as well….I was just looking at an Osborne eb-3 and the reviews were quite mixed on that as well and working in my basement I don’t have room for anything that is so bulky.

How could I forget where we live!!!
I would buy everything on line if I could and save the sales tax… I pay enough tax already!
I googled the V120 and $60 + 6.25% = $63.75… with free shipping, that is cheaper than anywhere else!

Yup , it is , although I might give Sharon a call and see how close to Rockler he lives and pay him the extra $10 instead of giving it to them …..Can ya tell I’m a Damn Yankee ? Hahahaha
Actually , I sent Rockler an email and asked them why the price was lower in the store than online…awaiting their reply.

Go for it Dusty but let me warn you if you buy the v120 you’ll find yourself wanting the 1000se and so on and so on. Incra rules in my shop! Good luck my friend and stay safe…BC

Oh sure ,BC …..that’s exactly what my fear is !!! LOL
My budget is telling me to take tiny steps though , so if I get growing pains in the future , maybe my budget will be there to back me up as well : )

Buy a good tool, cry once. Buy less than the best, cry every time you use it.

Look at the 1000SE and the Osborne EB3. If you’re looking for budgetary justification, you should note that these gauges will probably prevent you from every buying/upgrading a miter saw since they make easier and more accurate crosscuts.

I have both Incra’s MiterSled 5000 and the Y120. These tools are the ultimate in precision.

Great news…..I emailed Rockler with my predicament and they honored the instore price plus I got free shipping as well for being a facebook fan of theirs : ) Thank you everyone for the feedback….it was great help in making my decision and Rockler even threw in their point of view which matched ellen35’s regarding the size of the V120 is more versatile ….ie: bandsaw , router table , etc..
