Is that what you call them? Anyway, we cut down a very old maple last year. It has many burls on it. Do you know if anyone would be interested in buying them?

How can you have a Manitoba maple in Ontario? :-)

Sorry it sounded funny in my head as I typed it. Have you had any luck pricing/selling these burls?

Yeah, I know it sounds funny. No, I’ve had no luck so far. This surprises me. I was led to believe I’d have all kinds of people jump at them.

Most people may not recognize this wood by that name. Perhaps if you called it by its more common name, ‘boxelder’ I believe, it may get more people interested. Manitoba Maple is a misnomer. It is only a reference to the brilliant red leaves in the fall, a color that’s hard to find on the prairies.

I’ve got a bunch. On one tree alone, maybe a half dozen of various sizes. I’m not sure how we’re supposed to cut them. You’ll have to walk me through it. Also, what do you think I should charge? And then there’s the shipping.
