Thinking about buying this 10 yr. old lathe. Would do think it’s worth? I know they are $4510 online for the 2 HP model + another $359 for the bed extension

How much are they asking? Is that Wally Dickerman’s lathe? ................ Jerry (in Tucson)

My rule of thumb is usually 50% of new, but in the case of premium tools (which I consider this lathe to be) I’m closer to 75% of new. Some of it will depend on the extras he has (is that outboard part of the $4510 price you found?), but the lathe appears to be in fairly good condition. They show up only rarely, so if you think you want it better start something going quick.

Think saw Oneway price 4,250 new for basic lathe could not find that bed extension for outboard turning shown in the picture. They do show it in owner’s manual, not sure if an option or OEM.

If had the space and lived close would offer $3,000 to $3,500 for just what seeing if runs good. If extra’s come with it might go little higher. Like previous poster said will go fast.
