Hello all,

I’m going to begin with an apology. I wasn’t sure which forum this would best fit into but this seems the sort of question one asks of folks in a break room.

I have a kitchen cabinet facia panel with a broken blind latch. Attached is an image of an intact one. I’ve been unable to find a replacement so I’m turning to the interwebs for guidance. That guidance could be a direct link to a supplier, an identification of this class of part, a suitable replacement, a different forum, etc.

A quick introduction, since this is my first post. I’m an engineer with interest in wood working. My projects to date have been crude at best, such as building a large habitat for my daughter’s hamster and building shop aides to help in organization of my workspace. My interest is pointing to fine joinery and I have a router table set up, waiting for me to dial it in once I get my space cleaned up.

Any chance a different approach would solve your problem? For example, I use rare earth magnets for latches, to hold secret panels on and even used some to hold a panel up when anything less would have made a shelf, for the most part, unusable. The link to the LumberJocks post is:
