Can We Talk Vises for a Moment?

Could I be the only LJ to use a William and Hussey bench vise? I really like woodworking vises. I have had since I began woodworking with a Columbian 4×7 inch continuous screw and no dog in jaw to a Wilton rapid action 4×7 vise to a Columbian 4×10 inch rapid action vise made for Sears Craftsman line. In 1988 at the Woodworking Supply Fair at the Los Angeles convention center I saw a vise that really got me. The William and Hussey planer and molding machine was the front jaw for the vise the rear jaw was cast for the vise. It is a 4×10 inch continuous screw with dog in front jaw. It totally differs from the conventional metal woodworking vises. The vise has been discontinued by W&H probably due to its cost an its unconventionality.
