The electrician is coming this morning to check into putting in a 240 outlet and this afternoon my saw is being delivered. Unfortunately I had to work today, but my wife is home. Won’t be able to get to putting the saw together until the weekend, but I am sure that I will tear into the boxes.

Tell the boss you are sick. There is too much to do at home.

Get two 240 v outlets. You’ll always find a way to use the second one, and it won’t cost much more.

The electrician came this morning and now I have a 240 outlet. Only did one for now because he stopped between jobs and could do one easy. If I want another, wire has to be pulled. Maybe sometime. My wife got a call from the FedEx driver in the afternoon and his truck broke down! So he said it would be delivered tomorrow. Dang. Several hours later they call again and another driver got done early so he would deliver today. So it is in my man cave waiting to be assembled. Did open the boxes and got the gunk off the top. Used penetrating oil, so will probably use mineral spirits or diesel to get the oil off.

Very nice!!! Where’s the outlet located? Ok, off topic. Thats a Woodpecker drill press table on your Porter Cable right? I was thinking about getting that one. How do you like it? Sorry for the highjack.

Although it doesn’t look like it from the picture, the drill press is in another room where the saw will go. I have, what we call the man cave and then through a door is the woodshop. More room to put the saw in to unwrap. The outlet is towards the back of the woodshop. And yes, that is a woodpeckers drill press table. So far I like it. My drill press table was a little different than either in the installation notes, so I drilled 4 holes in the table to mount it. Worked quite well.
