Topic tags/keywords: arbor table saw ridgid ts2412 adjustment tablesaw rigid 2312 help

I just removed my dado blade, and tried to install my normal blade—and the arbor nut won’t cinch tight against the blade—there’s at least a 1/16 of space between the blade and nut. Of course, the blade then wobbles, and isn’t tight.

Might I have pulled the arbor out by 1/16 or 1/8 when I snugged up my dado blade?

What do I do? Do I have to disassemble the whole arbor assembly and re-adjust it, or is there a way to knock it into place?

I have a Ridgid TS2412, FYI.

Desperate for your kind advice—thanks!

Did you forget to put the washer on first?

Brad just might be THE man. After posting I looked at the manual, and did indeed see that there is supposed to be a washer/collar. Funny thing is, I can’t remember (I’m not THAT old) using that collar in the past years (but now that I see it, it sure does look familiar!).....

Pretty sure we can consider this resolved—now I’ll dig through my dust collection hose to see if the collar is in there! In case it’s not, it looks like it’s no longer available as a replacement part online, so I might need to get creative.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Brad is confirmed to be the man—I found the washer, hiding. Color me embarrassed…..

Good to know you folks are out there, though—with special thanks to MrUnix,
