Topic tags/keywords: tip resource cabriole leg

Several weeks ago I took a class with Charles Neil on making a cabriole leg. Before I left his shop he gave me a DVD he did on making the leg. He said that I would probable forget half of what we did that day (he was right).
Well about 2 weeks ago I took a look at the DVD. It covered everything that we did in the class. I emailed Charles and told him that I thought he should add it to the DVD’s that he offers on his site. Well today I checked out his site and found that instead of selling the DVD he put the whole thing up on his site for free.

Mike -

I have been following Charles’ website for a while and find his video instruction very interesting and very helpful. He has a true passion for woodworking and a wonderful ability to teach. I bet you had a good time in his shop!

David: I had a great weekend working with Charles. He is very gifted not only in his woodworking but in his abllity to teach it. I came home with a whole lot of knowledge and a new friend. I see his buddy Bob is in his shop now and they are shooting a new finishing DVD. Sherri emailed me and said that it might end up being 10 DVD’s. They are hoping to have it done and shipped out before Christmas so guess what I will be doing on my Christmas vacation. Can’t wait to see what your son makes with the wood that Charles sent him. I know whatever he makes Charles will be just as proud of it as you and you son will be.

Calgirl: Glad you liked the videos. I try to promote and encourage Charles whenever I can so that he keeps doing what he is doing.

I love his videos. They are entertaining, practical and well worth watching. He’s obviously a generous spirit. Thanks for letting us know about the video!

Cheers!
