Topic tags/keywords: router

I will be coming over to the US in a few weeks and was hoping to pick up a few Router bits whilst over there, but I am not sure if they are compatible,

Will the 1/4 and 1/2 inch shafts fit UK Routers?

Has anyone done this before, or knows the answer?

Much appreciated

My Router is a Trend 11

It looks like it comes with a standard 1/2” collet on the online material I found. I would check Eagle America, Amana and Whiteside whilst you are here. (typing “whilst” was fun!)

I would assume so, but then again, as the wise man once said “assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups”

If your Router has a metric sized hold it will not work, as was stated above when sold in the US the Trend 11 has a US sized hold but that may not be true outside the US. You may be able to purchase a replacement collet while here.
