Hey guys, you were so much help in locating new blades for my Jet planer I thought you might know something about blades for my 6” Emco jointer. The tag says it’s model #150-5100 and it also says it was built 6 of 1990.
Anyone know of this jointer or where I might find new blades for it?

I have been told it looks a lot like the Harbor Freight model. I am not sure if it is or not. Any help appreciated.

Charlie

I believe the Grizzly Model G0452 is essentially the same machine, and uses 6” x 1/8” x 5/8” knives, available from Grizzly, Infinity, and elsewhere

Infinity knives

toss up a picture. The 1990 era had many jointers that were actually the same with different name brands.

What’s the brand on Amazon? Got a link?
http://www.woodcentral.com/links/tooling.shtml
Original equipment tooling is inferior and overpriced.

I’d look at Holbren, Global Tooling and Infinity. Here’s a bunch more.

Hi Rick, The ones I saw were http://www.amazon.com/6-1-Planer-Blades-No-Holes-Jet-JJ-6/dp/B002OCCJAQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1458860564&sr=8-2&keywords=6+1%2F16%22+x+3%2F8%22+x+5%2F8%22+planer+knives
these. I hope that link is good.
I measured my old blades (without removing them) 61/8” x 3/8” x 5/8” The link about is for blades that are pretty close to mine. Because I did not remove the old ones I may not be able to match them.
It is possible that I may be able to get them here at Woodcraft locally.
Thanks for the input Rick

Do you recognize your model in this link.
I’d still price them from Global, Infinity and some of the others in the link I gave you.
