I just purchased my first book matched 8/4 walnut slabs for a table top. I was thinking about joining the two together and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to use. I certainly can use #20 biscuits but was worried that might not be enough. Any suggestions from LJ’s that have builit a table like this over the years and how has the joint held up?

Thanks

Scott

just gluing is plenty strong. As we often ear, stronger than wood

Glue should be good but you could double up on biscuit if you chose to. One from each edge.
