I’m sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong section, but I’m very new to this.

My needs are: cut 1/2” plywood with a machine that is fully automatic. For example, I could set a 30”x30” piece and have it auto cut into the shape or a star or circle. And I need to be do be able to do this through software.  I understand this might be quite expensive and I’m fine with that.  Just want a good piece of equipment.

What machines should I be looking at? Just not sure where to get started in this process and would appreciate any direction or help.

Thanks!

^^^ This. You can even build one yourself if you’re so inclined; lots of information out there. Or if you want even more precision and sharp inside corners, a CNC laser cutter.

A laser that can cut 30”x30”x1/2” plywood sheets would be very expensive. It will also leave darkened edges. The CNC router is probably the better tool in most cases.
