This saw has all the bells and whistles. Once you get over the shock of all the knobs and buttons and read the manual, you will see that it is quite simple to operate.

This is the description of the saw as posted by a sales outlet: “10”, Dual Bevel Slide Miter Saw With Up Front Controls & Laser Tracking, 15A Motor, 4,800 RPM, Up Front Bevel Lock Lever & Range Selector Knob, Easily Accessed Controls For Quick & Acccurate Bevel Settings, Arbor Mounting Laser Tracking, Provides Accurate Laser Lines For Precision Cuttting, Multi Positioned Main Handle, Easily Locks Into Any Of 4 Positions For Optimum Comfort & Control, Crown Miter Detents, Exclusive Wedge & Slot Miter Detent Sysytem.”

I am very happy with the ease of operation and the quality of the cut. After unpacking and setting it up, I found the manual pretty easy to understand. All the angles were spot on out of the box. There is a cute little cabinet at the rear of the saw for all the tools needed to maintain the saw. The manual goes into detail on how to position and cut compound miters and was easily understandable. The saw definitely needs to be bolted down as it wants to tip forward when the blade is in the foremost position.

If you want a top of the line SCMS, then this saw in my opinion, is for you.
