Topic tags/keywords: kinetic art

A while ago i questioned the forum if maybe anyone had seen or knew anything about clock type wood wall art. I think Debbie was the only one to respond, although unable to help. There was something missing in my Google search so I just couldn’t find it. Then last night I was explaining the operation of a unit that uses kinetic energy and there was the word! KINETICS! So this AM I Googled Kinetic wood art and here’s a link to some eye candy you should just love! Too bad that he doesn’t sell plans! Enjoy! (My personal favorite is one called “Variation- Surf”.

I must have missed the original post. J.R. Beall, inventor and proprietor of Beall Tools is a wooden clock maker and has a wooden clock forum. Surely there is something in there that will be of help.

Not wall art but if you go to then go to gallery and 2007 show you will see this years best of show. Jim has made a few of these clocks and they always amaze.

I’m so sorry I mentioned Jim’s clock without going to that website first.

I love it. But if I were able to make it and put it on the wall I think my wife would kill me.
