I’m in the market for a good lathe. Prefer Jet, but willing to look at others.

Wow, that’s a big lathe! You should check out Powermatic (made by Jet.) I have a Powermatic 3520b, and I love it, and you can turn monster stuff on it too. Oneway makes large lathes and a I’ve heard a lot of very postive stuff about them.

My bad on that one. You can tell I am a newby here. I was thinking about the length of the bed, not the swing.

Dont know your price range or what your instrests are in turning but JET – JWL-1442VSK: 14’’ x 42’’ VS PRO is a goog lathe around $1,200.
