Suggestions on what can be made?

Topic tags/keywords: walnut crown molding milling joining sanding shaping turning arts and crafts question

I’ve been given some left over solid Walnut crown molding from someone’s house build. Any suggestions on what may be built with it? It already has the face planed in those curved cuts on the face. If I were to plane it flat probably only leave an 1/8” thick piece left of wood, I wish to leave it as is. So, with leaving it in its original form, looking for ideas with what I can make with it. Any and all suggestions appreciated, other than using it as crown molding.

Yes, jewelry box sides. Find some walnut to match for the top. You can also make matching feet from the same profile. Nice hinges and flock the inside. Maybe an inlay on the top…
