So I did it! i pulled the trigger yesterday and bought the 14” Rikon from Woodcraft during thier 10% off sale. I went in on friday to take a look at it and they had 3 in stock and one on the floor. Saturday i went in at 3pm to buy the BS and they had sold all of them except one. Assembly for me was a breeze! because the Saleguy had just finished assembling the last one they had to replace the floor display…. all i had to do was put it on the mobile base i already had!

Before i walked out the door i ended up buying the Carter Guide Kit and a Timberwolf 1/2” blade… both of which were on sale as well! I only bought one blade for now because i plan on ordering a Woodslicer later on to see which one i like better.

So i got it home and put on the Carter guide kit and ran a couple scraps through it! so far i love it!!! i think its a great purchase! I will do a little review on it later on and give you a run through on the purchase and uses that i had so far!

Congratulations…..... but I thought I had purchased the “ultimate band saw”...... Grizzly.

i considered the Grizzly G0555x but the shipping is what killed it for me! Springfield, mo is just far enough that driving down there to pick it up was just as expensive as shipping! so the Rikon being 15miles from home was the best choice for me!

Plus live in Missouri you have to pay tax even ordering Grizzly online since they have a factory here, I’m still considering one of their table saws though…
