Topic tags/keywords: question

I am a new woodworker and my first project (after building a workbench) will be a cabinet to hold my guns. My plan is to use 3/4 birch plywood. I designed the whole thing in sketchup and the approximate dimensions will be 15×20x60.

My main concern is to make sure the joints that I plan to make are strong enough. Here are few pictures showing how I planed to join the sides/back/shelves.

I plan to use a router to cut all dados.

Do you think this joint will be strong enough?
Thank you all

I am not sure how well the orange piece in the third picture is going to come out using plywood. The left side of the Orange piece in the first picture will be tricky as well.

So a full 3/4 inch dado would be better?

Have your say...
