What do Y’all think of this band saw? The guy selling it says it is new. Never used. $80 on CL.

Never heard of it and had to google. I would pass unless it was something like 20 bucks – even then I would probably pass. A lot of Craftsman saws out there for that money that are much more capable.

I considered a Craftsman except I feel they are all a POS these days. There are more craftsman band saws on CL than any other brand. I really want a Laguna so I’ll have to save up my $ for one of these. I may take me a while. :) Does anyone have an opinion regarding Laguna band saws?

The 70s and 80s Craftsman band saws are fine.

Hey DBW!

, I sought after the Laguna band saw for years and when the opportunity came I got one. Took me about 6 months to really become familiar with the 16” saw, as I had always had the 1930’s and 40’s Delta machines. After the refusal period, letting go of the notion that the 1938 Delta bandsaw I sold off was the best thing I’d ever seen I began to appreciate the ability of the Laguna. Now 7 years later the Laguna is still standing proud in my humble shop. I’d recommend the Laguna band saw to anyone.

I was given a 10” Edison band saw recently. This guy has had time on him, & its an older model, but after clean up, & some oil in places, it works ok. Plenty of power for its size. JMO.
