When I was in college and when I first started teaching I had to repair a lot of equipment. Those lessons stuck with me and as a result I am into older equipment. Dan Wyatt in SW Missouri has hosted a little gathering for the last three years centered around old woodworking and metalworking equipment. We have had so much fun that we decided to go “big time.” For those wanting to swap some tools or just look at some older woodworking and metalworking equipment, and take in some info from a few vendors, I would like to extend an invitation to our O’WAMMO’s Spring Swap Meet in Branson, MO, on April 16th and 17th. See our web site here: http://www.owammos.com/ . For a little background and more info look here: http://owwm.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=70950

The O’WAMMO’s gathering is happening again this week at Branson/Hollister, MO. Sorry I hadn’t mentioned it sooner. In addition to our normal tailgate sales, swapping, demos, mini seminars, and ruckering, a couple of guys are bringing there wood lathes. The plan is for me to give a little intro instruction and then let newbies have at it under the watchful eyes of the mentors. There is still time to register. If the main hotel is full, they have two others they own, and last year the honored the special pricing at the other hotels.
