I was reading Patrick Edwards blog of the American School of French Marquetry
and read that he has found a builder for Chevalets for those of you that don’t want to build one but still would like one. Check out his blog for the details. http://wpatrickedwards.blogspot.com
(About half way down) Here is the gentlemen’s contact per Patrick’s blog. If you are interested.

Statement from the blog:
His contact information is David Clark, 2429 NW Ashurst Drive, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64081 and his phone number direct is 913 486 0344. He has created a personal email for ordering these kits, which is “david.chevalet@gmail.com”. You can contact him with any questions or to place your order.

I have no affiliation with the builder but thought it may be of interest to some of you.

Thanks for the link. I’ve ditched the full size chevy idea and gone for a bench mounted one – don’t have the space for a full size one. I doubt I’m every going to saw a packet of 12 or 15 sheets, or anything much bigger than 18 inches square, so I’ve gone for a lighter weight version with modern linear and self aligning bearings and a carbon fibre saw frame.

Madburg, love to see a picture of your bench mounted chevalet. As I have never seen one of those.

More chevalets is a good thing.
More options for the graduating student from the marquetry classes is a good thing.
Dave and Patrick getting together on this is a great thing!

Congrats and best wishes for success Dave.
