That is an incredible contraption and quite an remarkable feat to say the least. Apparently took 14 months to build and consists of 3000 parts, not including the 2000 marbles! This video shows a brief look (~4 min) into the making of it and some of the processes involved. Quite inspiring, and a quick google turns up lots of more info and articles about it and it’s making.
