Topic tags/keywords: cnc collet spindle wrench

I picked up a used CNC last week, and today I tried to change the bit in the spindle and discovered the crescent shape wrench that loosens the collet on the spindle doesn’t seem to fit. In order to buy a new wrench I need to know the size. Do I simply measure the diameter of the collet? Do the number of indentations on the side matter?

Thanks.

What size or model is the spindle? Is it the round type?
