Anyone ever hear of/used a Transpower Jointer? I’m looking at a 6” for sale in the paper. I’m aware they are an import and not named brand, just wondering about people’s experience with them.

This is an old query, but here goes. I purchased one of these in pretty poor shape last year for $100. Stripped it down and refurbed it without too much trouble. I looked for a manual and found that it is the exact same model as the Harbor Freight 6” (and basically their 7”) jointer. Downloaded the manual off the net. Bought some new blades for about $20. This is a very basic machine, but once set up it has functioned perfectly for me. I did add an internal dust chute made from hardboard and put a dust collection port on the side. Dust collection is >90% effective now.
