Rob was at our local Woodcraft store this weekend. I took 3 lecture/demonstration style classes from him, but ended up with a little hands-on. A couple of the classes were small, so he had each of come up and try a little hand sawing. His lectures/demonstrations covered the same material in this DVDs, but being able to ask him questions about problems you were having was great. I really like his teaching style, and would love to take one his week long classes. His hands-on classes require you to bring your own tools, so I guess I need to start to building up my hand tool collection. I’m not far off of the tool list :), I just need a couple more planes.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Rob Cosman here’s his web site. I highly recommend all of this DVDs.

Mike -

I have a couple of Rob’s DVD’s and think they are great. He has an easy teaching style . . . bet you had a good weekend!

By the way, I also have enjoyed your milling videos with Dorje!

The 3 topics he did were: Half Blind Dovetails, Mitered Edge Dovetails and the Houndstooth (dovetail). He make it look so easy and does a good job inspiring you to give it try.

I have quite of few of this DVDs too and really like his style. I can watch them over and over.

Have your say...
