I have two sets of new ridgid 1300 planer knives. One set is still in the package, the other set is open but not used. I opened them before realizing they were not compatable with my 4330. Anyways, i thought this might be more fun than simply returning them and trying to get my money back on an open package. Im trying to get more into hand tools and im interested in hand planes. If anyone has a plane or two they would be willing to trade, let me know what you have. -- RKWoods |

sikrap, no particular size. My knowledge on planes is very limited. All i have is a stanley block plane. I think i have the hang of it, and im wanting to expand in this area. Do you have one in mind? -- RKWoods |

Not really, just curious as to what you might be looking for. I might have a Stanley #3 to get rid of. The problem with planes is that once you got ‘em, you hate to give ‘em up :)) I have at least 6 block planes. 2 of them (a Stanley G12-220 and a Craftsman 187.37051) have never touched wood. MY brain tells me to sell them and let someone actually use them, but… -- Dave, Colonie, NY |

Dave are you interested in the knives? Tell me more about the stanley #3 and the block planes. -- RKWoods |

To be honest, I’m not sure about the knives. I have the Ridgid 1300 planer, but its still in the box. The block planes are the models I listed above. The #3 is a smaller bench plane that, I believe, is classified as a “smoother”. As I understand it,this type of plane would be used to surface a board rather than square the edges. If you’re interested, I can put up some pics. Sadly, I must part with a few things so that I can buy some things I actually need (8000 grit waterstone for one). -- Dave, Colonie, NY |
