Did anyone out there buy some Delta tools recently and use the Delta ‘All-In’ Rebate?
It included tiers 1-3 depending on the amount of $$ you spent ($1,000 – $3,000 or more).
Would like to hear the good and bad!
My experience: Bought new Delta Unisaw (review to follow), Ambient Air Cleaner 50-875, Mobile Base and Zero Clearance Throat Plate. All purchased through my local Lowes. So, total was over $3,000. Followed all rebate instructions and selected Porter Cable Model 7518 router. Which included sending all original receipts.
About 4 weeks later (on my birthday), received card in the mail, stating “The retailer you purchased from is not participating in this promotion”.
Contacted the rebate distributor/administrator (not sure if it is sub-contracted company), they inquired if I keep copies of my original receipts. Well, yes I do! They required that I resend copies, by fax, (What decade are we living in that a company can only receive documents by fax?) of everything I original sent with a letter arguing my point; I spend over $3,000 with you company, rebate form was given to my a Lowes and I would like to return everything I purchased from Delta if they do not honor this rebate.
I did receive the router on Valentines weekend but I am suspicious of this companies practice to deny rebate until after I resend copies of all original documents. This experience as tainted my feelings toward Delta and I will think twice before buying a Delta product in the future. I am keeping the Unisaw.
I need to get off this milk crate and get to work in the shop.
