Topic tags/keywords: question

I’ve tried at least thirty times to upload a series of five photos, and sometimes they’ll upload, but at least one won’t…?

Hi Mike, I guess you’re talking about the project pictures. What browser do you use and what kind of error message do you get?

Martin,
I have had the same problem. It can take up to 2 hrs to load. There is no error message… just looooooong loading time in the projects section. I too am using a mac… that should not make any difference as far as I can tell.
I find that if I go out and come in, sometimes I can get a few pics loaded… the ones that were previously loaded seem to load faster.
Thanks for looking into this.
Ellen

Could you try Firefox or Google Chrome on Mac? Seems like a Safari issue.

How big are your picture files? Are they jpg’s? What resolution are you using on your camers?

Digital pictures make very large files at even average camera resolution, and can get even larger if you camera is set for high resolution.

My camera is set for average resolution and my pictures (jpg) usually run about 2 meg. I downloaded a utility from Microsoft that resizes them to ~20k. This is plenty good for posting or emailing, and lets them load quickly.

I have uploading on Safari. The solution has been to use FireFox.

There are a few sites that just don’t jive with Safari but it is not a real issue to switch over to FireFox.

From now on I will be resizing my photos for the internet, it will decrease load times and the pictures don’t look any worse when viewed online.

I have PhotoShop Elements but it can be done in Preview on the Mac quite easily.

i went in to photobucket at least 6 times ,
trying to add a pic to a comment .
hit open mini-browser , fine
click photobucket , fine

click my home , bad
it switches to a full page .
it used to stay under my comment ,
and i could drag the picture to the comment
never did get the picture to work ,
is there something going on in photobucket ?

i don’t know how to do all that fancy stuff ,
this is the way garyk’s blog said to do it ,
and it has always worked .
i use firefox .
am i wrong ,
or has that site changed ?
