I’m in need of a bansaw and only want to spend max $500.00. I would like a 1 hp ,motor and at least 14” bansaw. I have looked at the Grizzly ultimate bansaw but only online maybe someone has one and can chime in on the saw.

Find a Grizzly GO555X used. They come up every now and then… You can squeak a GO555 in there brand new for a little bit over your $500.00 mark after shipping…. ($524.00 after S&H).

I strongly recommend that you look on Craigs List. You should be able to find a great band saw for less than $500. You can probably find a 20+year old Powermatic or Delta that is a much better machine than one you can buy new today. Take a look at the Old Woodworking Machines site, owwm.com.
