The wife and I went for a Sunday drive, and wound up at one of our favorite places: a Flea Market/antiques place that we stroll through occaisionally. There is one dealer I like to spend a few minutes with, an old timer who has a large quantity of woodworking and metalworking stuff. I had a handfull of end mills, some old Irwin brace bits and was about to negotiate a deal when I spied the awesome 1200-grit Arkansas stone. He was busy with another customer for quite a few minutes, and as I waited my turn, some absolutely clueless jerk walked up to the table, pulled a knife out of his pocket, and started honing it with this fine stone….dry! Jeez!! Needless to say, it made a mess of the surface… We started the day at a nice restaurant for breakfast, and the place had a 30 minute wait to be seated. Some yuppie couple, who just walked in, saw that the party for two that the host was calling must have left, and demanded that THEY be seated in lieu of the no-show! -- Einstein: "The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant.
