We own a 2000 Ram 1500 that we have recently rebuilt the tranny and done a bunch of other repairs and tuned it up to. Now we need to replace the radiator because it has sprung a leak. I think it is a decent truck, it is just old. But with custom woodworking we really need a reliable truck. My sister’s husband has a 1999 quad cab ram 1500, he was always really good with the maintnance and could not stand anything to be broken on the truck, they just recently decided to just give it to us for free. I offered to buy the truck from her a few years back but they never wanted to sell it. So she calls me and ask me if I want the truck, I told her that I would only deal in cash deals and at this time I don’t have enough cash and secondly I already have a truck. She was actually trying to just give it to us for free as a gift only I did not realize that at first. I think she has felt bad we have had so many problems with our truck. So now we will have 2 Ram 1500 trucks, hopefully I can keep both of them going good. Now we will have two company trucks. Oh, and the truck has around 100,000 miles on it and all original. My truck has 197,000 miles on it and our second vehicle has 196,000 miles on it. I don’t believe in car payments so we just keep repairing our old vehicles. Anyway, cool gift from the sister!

Oh yeah, we will be giving her a “free” kitchen next year so I am sure it will all work out for everyone.

I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 SST with 130,000. I’m on my 3rd fuel pump and 2nd water pump, but that’s the only problems I have ever had with it. You just have to keep the maintenance up on them.

My ‘99 V8 Dakota has about 175,000 miles on it.
