I won’t be sending any of you lady woodworkers valentines (saving that for my one and only), but be sure you are appreciated by this old woodworker for both your woodworking skills and your contribution in making LJ a good place to be. So happy Valentines day to you all!

As a woman in a predominantly male world, I appreciate the support and encouragement of the guys… and the valentine from David (and the others who have or will wish us a happy valentine’s day today). I also love seeing so many women creating such interesting projects… and the men and women who appreciate them!
You guys (and gals) are GREAT!!!!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!
Ellen

Happy Valentine to everyone. I’m so mixed up on the hormones I’m taking hell it don’t matter. Have a loving day with whomever you’re with. Love to all.

Ellen, it may be a predominately male world but in my opinion the glue to this world and particularly to any family is the wife/mom. I saw it in my Mom who raised 8 children and I saw/see it in my wonderful wife who raised two loving and caring, intelligent and independent daughters. (I taught them several Three Stooges lines.) They are the ones who arrange for day care, make the kids’ doctor appointments, keep after their husband to see the doctor (you know how we men are in that area), and they are the ones when only one piece of pie is left and she hasn’t had any, suddenly isn’t hungry when one of the kids wants a second piece. Why? For love! So, on this day dedictated to love, I applaud David for starting this post and join him and the others in saying Happy Valentine’s Day ladies!

P.S. In case anyone grouses that this isn’t woodworking related…I used the word glue!
