Topic tags/keywords: snow winter 2010 holly

Well I finally got my snow photos. With some bum knees it’s tough to wade through 30” of snow.

My back porch after we had to pull some snow off the roof because of leaking at the top of the windows. An Ice dam had built up at the bottom of the roof.

Outside the kitchen window where the snow on the roof has slid down. The garage roof is a metal rood so the snow slides down as the roof heats up a little.

The front of the house with the garage loaded up.

The shop roof. It’s metal and the snow slides as the temp is heating up a little.

The snow is dropping off the roof and landing up in front of the door.

It hasn’t destroyed the BBq’s yet but they are moving around.

The Holly trees are taking a beating.

And those were the trees that I can get close to.

Hoping for warm weather. But not too fast, we don’t need flooding.

Why I no longer live in MA or with my wife in MN. CA is the place to be (except for goofy politicians)... ;0)

that is why I not miss Boone Iowa .. Cinci has much milder winters… It is in the 20’s here with about 5 or 6 inches of snow on the ground.

You should fire your architect. The doors are supposed to be on the gable ends so the snow sliding off the roof doesn’t block them. :D

I measured 10 inches on my front porch Karson. So it’s bad all over. And my Quad with the snow plow won’t run.
I love Michigan. Ain’t as bad as you got though.

Every time I see pictures of deep snow posted, I remember staying home for school to spend the day clearing snow to feed livestock. One time we had to chop the ice off the bottoms of the mule’s hooves so she could get traction enough to pull the tractor to get it started ;-)
