Topic tags/keywords: resource question oak pine

Has anyone done any projects using a mixture of red oak and knotty or clear pine? Just wondering if this is just not a good mix or if the two can be mixed with good results?

I’ve seen many projects with all kinds of wood combinations and some that you would think that would never work some how do. I say go for it if you like it.

Yea, just thinking out loud, I guess. I have plenty of both, just thought it may look neat.
