So I made some bread boards back in August for a show, the ones I didn’t sell I put in a box in a spare bedroom. My mother in law needed one and picked one out today. Went to rub some more beeswax and mineral oil on it just to shine it up a little. I noticed some spots on it that I don’t remember them being there before. Got me kind of worried, thinking it might be mold or something. I buffed on it with a paper towel and they don’t go away so not sure what it is, any thoughts? Thought it could just be darkening of the wood or mineral stains that showed up better with the aging of the wood. Don’t know how it’d be mold, dried wood, been in a cardboard box in my house for months.

Looks “normal” to me. I can’t see anything to worry about in the pictures.

Have your say...
