Topic tags/keywords: bahco bastard file saw file

I am curious. I am soon to delve MORE into the hand wood working. Specifically, refurbishing and then sharpening the hand saw blades I have. I (sadly) rely on Amazon for first purchases due to their availability and 2 day Prime Member shipping. I ordered 1 “Bahco 8 4-140-8-1-0 at a single unit price of $10 + $7 shipping. What I received today was a box of 10 bastard files. Is this right? I thought new quality bastard files were $10 EACH… or maybe I mis-understood and it’s actually a box of 10 for $10.
side note: my Bahco 4-183-05-2-2 Ergo 48-TPI Taper Saw File also arrived today :) Sadly, just 1, not 10 though :(

What did the seller say when you asked?

It was most likely an internal error with the order and they accidentally sent you 10.

I once ordered a Rockwell “Jawhorse” on eBay for $119.99, but I got two! I contacted Rockwell to inform them of the mistake, but they told me to keep the extra one. I then sent one of them back due to malfunction for a full refund minus $30 return shipping. So I got a Jawhorse for $30!

Ask the seller anything? Nope :) Shhh… my gain, their loss.

respectfully, even if it is their error, the right thing to do is to ask them about it.

never received more than I bought. Guess you are right, I’ll contact them about this error. Not as if I will use all 10 files. These things should last years.

But they have to pay return shipping- it is their mistake.

Agreed. Amazon sent me double orders twice and let me keep them both times. But I still let them know because I have a hell of a conscience. Unless it comes to my helpers at work. Then I don’t care.
