The all penetrating fine saw dust almost forced me to stop doing anything with wood. My shop is a part of my garage where as usual there is a lot of other stuff, starting from bicycles and ending Christmas decorations. I used to open a side door of the garage and put a fan under a partially opened garage door, that helped a little at the expense of the outside dust residue on the windows, cars, etc. It also meant I had to stop early because of the noise coming through the open doors and from the fan.
I bought a Jet air cleaner from HD and it was waiting unpacked in the box. I was debating whether it worth opening it as once opened I would not return it to the store ( even though I could I hate to misuse return policies).
So I finally opened it, hung it from the ceiling and proceed doing some routing work, that normally would create a lot of mess in the garage. I worked about two hours creating a lot of dust, the air cleaner was on on medium airflow. After I finished I set the timer to 4 hours and left.
In the morning I opened the garage door to take my bicycle and was stunned. The shiny bicycle frame was as shiny as it was when I left it. Not a speck of dust on it ! I inspected the garage and yes ! No fine saw dust film on anything ! Normally after such work everything in the garage would be covered by some amount of dust.
If you do not have the air filter you are missing a lot. Get it !

Advertisement paid for by Jet or HD, I can’t decide.

I mean, dude has 356 posts. If he had one, I would tend to agree. Maybe a happy customer?

I would not pay much attention to it. RobS888 has a set goal of his life following my posts and trying to b/s them.
Now I have to stay in this forum otherwise if I leave his purpose ends end and he would die.

Been very tempted to get a filter since I’ve better enclosed/insulated my shop. It used to be very “airy” and I doubt one would’ve helped much.

Sounds like you’re seeing a good benefit from having one.

Check out his silly defense of Rigid table saws or his blaming a non flat table saw top on improper handling by the store. Problems are ignorance of the user or the store, never the manufacturer.

Don’t flatter yourself DKV, if you didn’t create so many threads I would hardly ever see your posts. Interesting how this account was created 10 days before you stopped posting as DKV.

I know, can you believe DKV has the nerve to start his scat again?

Perhaps you should cry to cricket again to get him shut down…again.

Why the heck do you reply to the posts you do not like ? Let me see if blocking you will make your life easier.

Because he’s like to stir the pot. Looking at his post history it appears 1 or 2 out of 10 post are bout woodworking. The rest are pot stirring in useless off topic threads.

He worries a lot about what other people do and say. I think he’d like to be a moderator on the sit. I hope that never happens because I don’t think he could ever be fair and unbiased.
