For those of you who are fans of the Discovery Channel show The Deadliest Catch were shocked, as I was, to hear of the passing of Phil Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to the Harris friends and family. Phil, you will be missed. The Bering Sea won’t be the same without you.

This was one of my favorite people…he reminded me of a Gunny I worked for in Bosnia…never took any crap, was always right, and always above all else took care of his people. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his Kids and Crew.

I’ve got to think Mike Rowe will do a fitting tribute to one of the most popular characters on his show. Like you other guys, I will miss him.
It looks like a hard life even for a fitness nut, but those guys seem to live off of cigarettes, Red Bulls, and bacon sandwiches.

Great show, what a adventurous life these guy live…the show will seam a little empty without Cap. Phil Harris at the helm. To his sons I raise a tumbler of 20 year old Scotch and salute to your Old Grand Captain of the Seas….Blkcherry
